Jacqueline Cohen-Baity

A Symphony of Art, Flavor, and Fearless Creativity

Some artists live within the boundaries of one medium. Jacqueline Cohen-Baity lives in all of them. A New York City-based powerhouse of passion and imagination, Jacqueline is a multi-talented creator whose artistry defies labels. She sings, she writes, she cooks, she performs and she weaves all of it together into a dazzling tapestry that is as entertaining as it is inspiring.

Whether she’s belting out a jazz number, crafting a fusion recipe from her global spice collection, or delivering a punchline in a stand-up show, Jacqueline does it with unstoppable energy and heart. Her journey is not just about mastering multiple crafts, it’s about living fully, learning endlessly, and expressing freely.

Jacqueline’s musical roots stretch back to childhood when her parents gifted her an organ at nine years old. “I started to filter out sounds and figure out what I liked,” she recalls. “It was self-taught at first. I was just discovering.” At ten, her father realized she could sing and a lifelong love affair with music truly began.

Her training later expanded in college, where she studied theory, ear training, and jazz improvisation. Jacqueline immersed herself in the rich world of chord progressions, melodies, and genres. Her ability to absorb and reinterpret various musical styles from smooth jazz and R&B to opera and funk has given her the rare gift of genre-blending composition. Whether it’s a soulful ballad or a playful jingle, Jacqueline writes with depth and range.

Jazz, however, holds a special place in her heart. “There’s something to jazz,” she says, “the unpredictability of it, the way it all just works together even when you don’t expect it to.” Her first live performances were with a university jazz band in high school. Later, she collaborated with piano players whose improvisation challenged and pushed her artistry further.

Her love for jazz led her to explore smooth jazz, jazz-funk, and even fusions with international sounds. This rhythmic freedom taught her to trust her instincts, both as a singer and as a songwriter. “Jazz taught me how to listen, how to feel the music, not just play it.”

Jacqueline’s first venture into music production was bold and intuitive. “I didn’t know what I was doing at the time,” she laughs, “I just knew what I wanted to hear.” Thousands of drum sounds later, she built her own beats, layered melodies, and created tracks from scratch. An audio engineer turned to her and said, “That’s a really great song.” It was validation and also ignition. She went on to learn audio engineering techniques and now produces and edits her own music across multiple genres.

As much as music pulses through Jacqueline’s life, so does flavor. She began cooking at 15, experimenting with spices and sauces in her family’s kitchen. Over the years, travel deepened her culinary knowledge. From Sicilian cooking classes to weekend spice trials in her own kitchen, she crafted signature recipes blending Greek, Moroccan, Indian, Thai, Cajun, and more.

Her palate is so fine-tuned that she’s able to detect the smallest variations in flavor. “Like someone in fashion knows what goes together in an outfit, I know what goes together in food.” Today, executive chefs are tweaking her recipes for an upcoming project, and she’s earned praise not just for her taste, but also for the experience her dishes deliver.

Jacqueline also has a flair for performance. Her stand-up routines and character-based plays, often performed online, are whimsical, sharp, and full of heart. She blends comedy with music and voiceovers to create original entertainment that connects with audiences of all ages. Whether she’s collaborating with the Lori Landon Foundation or performing a holiday show in costume, her comedic timing and improvisational spirit shine.

Jacqueline doesn’t just create, in fact, she builds. She has fused her passions into a dynamic brand that includes writing, music, food, and comedy. Her ebook, “Adventures of a Comical Salesperson with International Recipes”, is a one-of-a-kind blend of storytelling, culinary delights, and musical performance. Complete with original songs, international recipes, humorous plays, and audio characters voiced by Jacqueline herself, the book is a sensory experience like no other.

“The music includes everything from jazz, R&B, rap, opera, ballads, dinner music to international tracks. There’s French, Spanish, Italian, Greek influences. There’s even a movie trailer based on an excerpt in the book.” Her audio components include sound effects, voiceovers, and songs that bring each vignette to life. “It’s like each story says, ‘This is the end… now let’s eat!’”

Jacqueline’s entrepreneurial advice is simple but profound: “Create value. Fill a need. Build something people will love and figure out who your audience is.” She encourages aspiring creators to start side businesses, prepare for unexpected changes, and stay adaptable. “If restructuring happens at your job, your business is your backup. Be ready. And always give 100% to both your job and your dream.”

Despite her vast talents, Jacqueline never stops learning. She’s currently diving deeper into video co-production, experimenting with visual storytelling, and yes building miniature holiday dioramas in her spare time. “Learning keeps my mind fresh,” she says. “It keeps life interesting.”

Jacqueline Cohen-Baity is more than a singer, chef, writer, or comedian. She is a living canvas, continuously painted with sound, spice, story, and soul. She’s proof that you don’t have to choose just one passion. With creativity, persistence, and a deep desire to connect, you can do it all and do it brilliantly.
